How the 4 Ps of Marketing Influenced My Logo Design

Marketing by Marissa LLC is something I have always wanted. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, and I knew one day I wanted to have my own business. Unfortunately, my passion didn't lie within the family business, but I did find it in marketing.

However, my entrepreneurial dream had to take a back seat for a while. I knew I needed to gain experience first. So, after over 5 years in the field and earning my MBA, I decided it was time to revisit that dream.

When it came to creating my logo, I'll be honest, I didn't know where to start. But I did know that I wanted something simple that represented marketing in some way.

Then it dawned on me. At the beginning of my education, the first thing I was taught was the 4 P's of marketing. I thought, wouldn't it be nice to have my logo represent such an important part of marketing? And on top of that, what better way to represent my brand than by grounding it in the principles that started it all?

If you're not familiar, the 4 P's of marketing are Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. Product is what you sell. Price is how much you sell it for. Place is where it's sold or distributed. Promotion is how you communicate your product to your audience.

So the 4 P's of marketing were my inspiration, but I added a twist. If you look up "the 4 P's of marketing," you'll typically see four separate boxes, much like my logo. The difference is that my boxes overlap. That was the twist.

I wanted the logo to overlap to represent how everything is connected. Each element matters, and each one affects the other. Marketing isn't standalone. It takes every part of a business into consideration.

This logo is not just a visual. It reflects how I think about marketing as a whole. Every piece is connected, every decision matters, and when everything works together, that is when real results happen. That is the approach I bring to every business I work with.
